- From the Desk of the Mayor of Rens
Please let it be known by the good citizens of New Eden that "Mayor Menod" is not a relation of mine. This citizen is a separate individual that suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). He is currently being treated at the Rens VI - Moon 8 - Brutor Tribe Treasury Medical Facilities.
To his doctors dismay he does have access to a comm terminal to the local Galnet channel in Rens where he posts his scams all day and night long. He has also been known to mutter in a stupor about how he is the supreme scammer and has billions in assets amongst himself and his other 'personalities' while the local residents laugh at his shameful comments.
The doctors are convinced he has but one true idol, myself. As flattering as that may seem he has taken part of my name and prefixed it with my long standing title of Mayor. Also, according my to sources he has also recently tried to get some facial plastic surgery and implants done so he can look as stunning as I do. His psychiatrist denied his surgery request as it was seen to be an unobtainable and only a fetish that he could never fully achieve.
As the original and current Mayor of Rens I ask that you treat him with kindness. Please help him by pointing out his errors to him. Inform him that his 'deals' are not good ones, but more like expensive scams. One final request, if you see him in space help him out by testing his shields and his armor, I don't want him driving around in a ship that offers him no protection from the harshness of space:)

Public Service Announcement Follow-Up
- From the Desk of the Mayor of Rens
My office has just been informed by the head of the Rens VI - Moon 8 - Brutor Tribe Treasury Medical Facilities that the former New Eden citizen named 'Mayor Menod' has passed on to the great clone vat in the sky. He was not survived by any clones or children.
As reported earlier in the week, he was suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder which resulted in multiple distinct identities known as alter egos or alters. The patient was given 10 times his normal dose of medicine by mistake due to sloppy record keeping. The error was in part because a nurse had listed the names of all his alts in the patients medical chart. This resulted in a prescription of 10 times the normal amount, one dose for each name. Shortly thereafter he (and his alts) slipped into the great unknown.
As a side note, The Council of Rens Elders has expunged the name 'Mayor Menod' from all official records and transcripts. As noted by the elders in the minutes of the last council session, "There is only one true Mayor of Rens, and that is Menod Penter, let the records stand corrected".
While I am happy to have my good name cleared, I am also saddened by the loss of any citizen of Heimatar. I will see to it that the assets of the deceased scams are distributed to help educate those, like the nurse, that need it.

Good Day to You Galen,
The above former mentioned citizen had a very bad habit. He did not like undocking from the station as he feared the darkness of space. Not having very much to do in station he became obsessed with posting in the local communications channel. He would sit in his bed all day and night spewing out links to contracts that were not as they were advertised, with an almost mechanical precision.
Now, being the very helpful person that I am I decided to 'help' him get past his fears. Unfortunately to my dismay I watched him progress from using one name to another as he used up his 'alternative personalities' one by one. He was persistent in his quest for self destruction and unresponsive to my help.
I enlisted the help of many 'professionals' to see if they could change his bad habits. After a while it was clear to them that he was only interested in 'exploiting' the system and would never change his ways. The 'professionals' were left with only one option in the end, Biomass Reprocessing.
I don't normally condone the 'final option', but in some cases it's best, like this one.

Good Day to You Kateryne,
It's nice to hear from you. Rens and it's citizens are doing just fine. Many are on holiday but the system still has many visitors that dock each day. I am enjoying a peaceful Sunday catching up on some reading. In a little while some of the local fisherman are going to give out 'free' Ice Cream. Bring a bowl and a spoon and take some out of any jetcan outside of BTT if you like.
